A mother and son wanted in connection with a fatal crash in Middlesex County have been extradited to New Jersey.
Vilma Vneshta, 42, and Alvi Limani, 20, returned to New Jersey a few days ago from Miami.
Limani is accused of racing another car on the Garden State Parkway on July 29. Officials say that Limani was driving a BMW X3 when he crashed into two other cars, causing the BMW to roll over multiple times. During the crash, officials say one of the passengers of the BMW, identified as Albion Hysenaj, 20, was ejected. Hysenaj later died at the hospital.
Another passenger was also ejected and suffered serious injuries.
Officials say Limani left the scene, traveled to Florida and then attempted to leave the country. He is now facing manslaughter and homicide charges, among other charges.
Vneshta is accused of trying to help her son get away. She was charged with third-degree hindering.
The driver of the other car involved in the racing, 23-year-old Jeter Ogando, was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and other charges.
