Tattoo parlor owner and wife accused of kidnapping employee

A Hartsdale couple and their nanny were charged in connection with the kidnapping and assault of a 19-year-old Queens woman, Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced.
The incident occurred on May 16. The DA says Wayne Barnes, owner of Sons of Ink tattoo parlor in the Bronx, offered a ride home to the victim, an employee with whom he had become romantically involved.
Barnes got into a heated argument with the victim on the drive to her home in Queens and forced her out of the car along the Grand Central Parkway, according to authorities. They say he later assaulted her with an expandable metal baton. Barnes' wife, Jasmine Barnes, allegedly joined him, wearing black gloves and armed with a metal baton. Authorities say the victim was dragged into into their Hartsdale home, where the assault continued.
Lizbeth Cerrato-Sanchez, the couple's 19-year-old nanny from Yonkers, also allegedly assaulted the victim, punching her in the face.
The victim was eventually allowed to leave the house and go home in an Uber. Afterbeing treated for her injuries at a hospital, she reported the incident to the Greenburgh Police Department.
Wayne Barnes, 44, was charged with kidnapping in the second degree, criminal possession of a weaponin the third degree, and multiple counts of assault. Jasmine Barnes, 42, was charged with kidnapping in the second degree, menacing in the second degree, and multiple counts of assault. Cerrato-Sanchez was charged with assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
Wayne Barnes was released on $300,000 bond, Jasmine Barnes was released on bail, and Cerrato-Sanchez was released on $10,000 bond. Wayne and Jasmine Barnes are due back in court on July 29, and Cerrato-Sanchez is due back on Aug. 7.
