A person of interest remains behind bars following the shooting of an off-duty federal law enforcement officer.
News 12 has been told the person in custody, also has ties to crimes in the borough.
NYPD officials say Miguel Mora, 21, is in custody for the shooting, which was an apparent botched robbery.
Police say the off-duty Customs and Border Protection officer was shot by two men on a moped in a Manhattan park on Saturday night.
The officer shot back. Police arrested Mora after he walked into Bronx Care Hospital with gunshot wounds to the leg and groin.
Authorities say Mora has active bench warrants for several crimes in the borough.
The off-duty federal officer is currently recovering and is expected to be OK.
